40. A sense of adventure. I can't really imagine living without a dream or a hope or a new adventure around the corner.
39. The insights that God gives us into His Word.
38. The warnings God gives us in His Word.
37. My daughter's sense of humor - the little wry smile she gets or just watching her laugh at herself.
36. God's sovereignty. It is comforting to know that He knows the future.
35. Access to the Throne and a listening God.
34. Hummingbirds. How does God get all those parts in such a little space?
33. Food. Americans have a lot of food, food choices, and storage methods.
32. A brain. It is an amazing creation. Complex, always able to learn. Wow!
31. Income. As Eric has been laid off and GoodYear is shutting down for weeks at a time, it makes me all the more grateful for the income that we do have.
30. The new, helpful website that I was able to put together that is so helpful to homeschoolers: Home School Association
29. Hugs. I love my daughters hugs - and I like to give them too.
28. Comfortable bed. God gives us time to shut down, recoup, sort through, and rest. I am grateful that I have a nice bed upon which to do that.
27. Organization. God is a God of order, not confusion. I prefer my house to be ordered, but it doesn't alway happen. There's such peace when it is!
26. Sunlight. What an amazing aspect of God. Jesus said He was Light. Sunlight finds its way into every room and every corner. The more we unblock the windows, the more light we have. The more we remove the "blockers" in our lives, the more Jesus can shine in.
25. Sight. When I have problems with my eyes, I am more aware of how much I use sight. What an amazing gift God has given us! The same would be true spiritually. Our spiritual sight allows us to see things we never would have otherwise.
24. Signs of hunger. If we didn't know we were hungry, how would we know when to eat?
23. Smiles. They are contagious.
22. Language. Without communication we would lead very solitary lives. The capacity to learn to communicate is such a great gift!
21. Water. It cleans, refreshes, feeds, cools.
20. My cat who loves to purr while snuggled up next to me.
19. My work with Master Design that allows me to express creativity in a lasting way.
18. Bugs - as my daughter and I learn about bugs I am amazed at how creative God is.
17. Christian Media, especially those who work hard to provide good, clean, Bible-based videos for our children and family. Teaching the little ones from the Word is reinforced with these videos.
16. Air-conditioning. God could have had me live at any time in history, but I am very thankful to live when air-conditioning is affordable and available.
15. Green. I remember living in Africa and being shocked at how many different shades of green God put in trees there (it seems more there than in the US). Trees are an amazing concept - the air filter of the planet, the provider of shade and shelter, and sometimes the provider of food.
14. Fall. My favorite season of the year!
13. Pussy-willows. My daughter loves to bring them to me so I can tickle her with them.
12. Pictures. The memories that they hold.
11. God's love. My daughter is especially happy that God loves the whole world.
#10. Being settled.
#9. My daughter.
#8. My husband.
#7. My experience around the world.
#6. My exposure to and experience with a spiritual life.
#5. My education.
#4. My Christian heritage. I have been raised at a place and time where I have access to the Bible in my own language, where I have access to material and people who can guide me in my walk with God. My country has had religious freedom (though this is changing).
#3. My sister. She often points me in the right direction when I am at a loss.
#2. My parents. Through their faith in God, I was born. They sacrificially raised me to know my Creator.
#1. Life. God is the author of life. Without Him, I would have no life - physical or spiritual.
